Project details
Caravan City draws on historical references from the City of London to provide an authentic and relevant dining experience, as a foil to the new-build unit we had inherited. Cobbled paving stones define intimate bar areas, large-scale lamp posts and street lights illuminate the double height dining space, and gritty urban textures juxtapose with natural upholstery and soft furnishings. A choreographed edit of plants was chosen to animate the space, bringing elements of the external landscape within. Large rustic troughs house abundant grey-green specimens and are integrated into the furniture, as well as the architecture of the space.

Consistent with Caravans three predecessors, Bloomberg Place's design has continued to refine and evolve, adding a new level of detail and comfort appropriate all day dining in the City of London.

The restaurant was nominated for UK Restaurant Design of the Year, 2018.
